Volpelleres

In the Volpelleres neighborhood of Sant Cugat del Vallès, a residential complex is being designed that consists of 37 rental units and includes parking and a community pool.

During the conceptual phase, special emphasis was placed on optimizing orientation to ensure that each residence and communal space received the best possible sunlight. To achieve this, the design consists of two separate blocks, strategically aligned along two of the adjacent streets, freeing up the south side of the lot to maximize natural light and strategically place the community pool and gardens there. A striking entrance pergola between the buildings harmoniously integrates the security guard’s booth and mailboxes.

Careful work has been carried out to ensure optimal aging and minimal maintenance costs. The building envelope, a combination of hand-molded ECO clinker brick and concrete, lends durability and timeless aesthetics to the architectural complex. In addition, a sustainable approach has been implemented, including photovoltaic panels for the building’s self-consumption and water reuse systems, thereby contributing to energy efficiency and responsible resource management.
